About us
We are an Immigration-focused boutique firm located in Newark, NJ. Our firm was born as a legacy to Raymond D’Uva,
the former and principal attorney of our office.
Raymond D’Uva practiced immigration law in Newark, NJ for over 30 years.
Raymond was born and raised in Newark, New Jersey. He earned his law degree in 1976 from Seton Hall Law School
and went to practice law for over 30 years in his hometown Newark.
Raymond D’Uva
Raymond D’Uva was known by all who were lucky enough to meet him as a gentle, kind, sweet, honest, and deeply intelligent man. For over 30 years, he worked as an immigration attorney, helping thousands of clients establish lives and contribute to their communities in the US. He cared very much for his clients; he felt a deep responsibility for their livelihoods. He spoke five languages.
Unfortunately, Ray D’Uva was an early victim of the coronavirus. He passed away in June 2020.

Alexandra Miron
Alexandra Miron is the principal attorney of D’Uva and Miron LLC. She is a member of the New York and New Jersey State Bars. Ms. Miron has represented clients throughout the United States before the United States Immigration and Citizenship Services, the Executive Office for Immigration Review and the Board of Immigration Appeals. Ms. Miron received her J.D. from the St. John's University School of Law in New York. She completed her undergraduate studies at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, receiving a B.A. in Justice Studies summa cum laudae.
Prior to founding D’Uva and Miron LLC, Ms. Miron worked with Raymond D’Uva at the former Law Office of Raymond D'Uva for several years. Ms. Miron is fluent in English, Spanish and Romanian. Ms. Miron attends seminars of the New York and New Jersey Bar Associations, keeping up-to-date on changing immigration laws and practices in NY and NJ.
Ms. Miron represented hundreds of clients in removal proceedings and before other immigration agencies, such as USCIS.
Ms. Miron continues to provide exceptional services to the clients of D’Uva & Miron.
